Vinyl 41

It started with love to analog culture
Vinyl 41 was born out of love for analog sound and the culture surrounding it — not just records themselves, but the sleeves, the liner notes, the static, and the imperfections. The brief was to create a visual identity for a platform that celebrates this culture while feeling sharp enough to resonate with today’s digital audience. The challenge was to keep the soul of vinyl intact while avoiding clichés or retro overuse.
The designer approached the project with restraint, grounding the visuals in rhythm and geometry. The logotype was constructed from modular shapes, echoing the mechanics of turntables and sound wave patterns. Texture played a subtle but vital role — from grain overlays reminiscent of album covers to distorted linework inspired by analog interference. The color palette was limited but deliberate, with deep blacks, warm neutrals, and bold accent tones used sparingly for impact.
Vinyl 41 doesn’t replicate the past. It interprets it — making it feel current, clean, and confidently analog.
Typography drew from editorial references — think liner notes meets minimalist art books — with emphasis on alignment, tempo, and contrast. Grid layouts mimicked the structure of record sleeves, giving the brand a tactile familiarity. Small motion interactions were introduced to bring the brand to life — slow fades, rotational cues, and scroll-triggered movement evoking the spin of a record.

The results were digital yet stylish
The result is a brand that bridges analog and digital without compromise. Vinyl 41 carries a sense of rhythm in every detail, creating an identity that feels physical, musical, and unmistakably grounded in culture.
